1. The agreement
These terms are a contract between you and monklearning, and they apply the moment you create an account or use the platform, on the web or in the app. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must accept them on your behalf at sign-up; they remain responsible for the account. If you don’t agree with something here, please don’t use the service, or better, tell us what’s wrong with it.
2. What monklearning is
An AI personal teacher for JEE Main and NEET UG preparation. Your access includes the live classroom, the saved lessons library, Snap-a-doubt, daily practice, readiness-gated mock tests, and the Progress page, with both teachers (Drona and Vedha) and both languages (English and Hinglish) in every pass. Your teachers are artificial intelligence: extraordinarily patient, occasionally imperfect. Clause 09 covers what that means.
3. Age and who may use monklearning
monklearning is built for students preparing for JEE Main and NEET UG, and is intended for users aged 13 and above. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must consent to these terms and to the account. By signing up you confirm your age and class year are stated honestly. We are not responsible for the consequences of a misstated age, and we may suspend an account where the requirement is not met.
4. Your account · one student, one teacher
Keep your sign-up details accurate and your password to yourself; you’re responsible for what happens under your login. Each account is built around one student: the teacher’s memory, Monk Score and adaptive practice only make sense for one person. Sharing an account doesn’t just break these terms, it breaks the teaching. We may pause accounts that show clear multi-user patterns and help you split them properly.
5. Passes and payments
- Passes are one-time payments for a fixed duration: ₹79 for one day or ₹249 for seven days. Nothing auto-renews. When a pass ends, access ends; your progress and teacher memory are kept for when you return.
- Every pass unlocks every subject and both exams: JEE Main, NEET UG or both. You pay for time with your teacher, not per subject or per exam.
- A pass runs from the moment you first enter the classroom, not from purchase. One active pass at a time.
- Prices include GST. We may change prices for future purchases; a pass you’ve already bought never changes underneath you.
- Payments are processed by RBI-regulated gateways; see the Refund Policy for refunds, pauses and failed payments.
6. Fair and acceptable use
A pass carries a fair daily allowance for one student: classes and saved lessons with no cap, up to 50 doubt snaps a day, and 75 practice questions a day. You agree not to:
- Share, rent or resell access, or run a coaching business on one account.
- Scrape, bulk-download or extract the question bank, lessons or board content, by hand or by bot.
- Reverse-engineer the teachers, probe them for their instructions, or use output to build a competing question bank.
- Use monklearning to cheat in any live examination.
- Upload content that is abusive, unlawful, or someone else’s copyrighted work presented as your own doubt at scale.
7. Academic honesty
A pass is for your own learning. You may not use the classroom, the doubt camera or practice during any live examination, test or proctored assessment where outside help is not allowed, and you may not use the platform on another student’s behalf in such a setting. Using monklearning to cheat ends the account without a refund.
8. Mock tests and the readiness gate
Mock tests unlock when your teacher judges your chapters ready: a pedagogical decision based on your mastery data, not a paywall. We don’t guarantee a specific unlock date, and the readiness threshold may be tuned as we learn what predicts real exam performance. Your Progress page always shows exactly what stands between you and the unlock.
9. Content and ownership
Lessons, questions, board writing, teacher voices and the software are monklearning’s intellectual property, licensed to you for personal, non-commercial study while you have access. Your own notes, doubt photos and written work remain yours; export them anytime, including after your pass ends. If you send us feedback or ideas, you let us use them without obligation (and we genuinely read them).
10. Exam bodies and trademarks
JEE Main is conducted by the National Testing Agency. NEET UG is conducted by the National Testing Agency on the syllabus set by the National Medical Commission. NCERT, NTA, NMC and CBSE are the marks of their respective bodies. monklearning is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them, and references to their syllabi, patterns and past papers are for teaching purposes only. For anything official, their notifications are final over anything you read here or see in the app.
11. Availability, changes and coming-soon features
We aim for the classroom to be open every hour you want to study, but brief maintenance windows and outages happen; if a meaningful outage eats into your pass, write to us and we’ll extend it. The platform evolves: features improve, interfaces change. Anything marked "coming soon" (like NEET PG) is a plan, not a promise with a date, and isn’t part of what you’ve purchased until it ships.
12. Honest limits · no rank guarantees
monklearning is a study tool, and a good one. But your result depends on your work, and an AI teacher can occasionally be wrong on a step or a fact. Every screen has a report control; verified mistakes are corrected quickly and your affected practice is recomputed. We make no guarantee of marks, ranks, selection or admission, and you should treat official NTA/NMC syllabi and notifications as authoritative over anything we display.
13. Notices and communications
By creating an account you agree to receive service messages from us by email, SMS, WhatsApp and in-app notification: class reminders, pass expiry, payment confirmations, safety and security notices. You can switch off reminders and marketing messages in settings at any time; the transactional and security ones stay, because they are how we tell you something important about your account.
14. Your feedback
If you send us an idea, a bug report or a suggestion, you agree we may use it without restriction and without payment. We are glad to hear from you, but we are not obliged to keep feedback confidential or to act on it.
15. Suspension and termination
You can delete your account whenever you like (the Privacy Policy covers what happens to your data). We may suspend or terminate accounts that materially break these terms (account sharing, scraping, abuse) after warning you, except where the breach is severe or legally requires immediate action. Termination for breach doesn’t create a refund right.
16. Liability
To the extent Indian law allows, our total liability for any claim connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We’re not liable for indirect losses, such as a missed rank or a lost year, though nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, or your statutory rights as a consumer.
17. Indemnity
You agree to hold EAO Labs Private Limited, its directors and its employees harmless from any claim brought by a third party that arises out of your breach of these terms, your misuse of the platform, or your violation of the law or of someone else’s rights, including reasonable legal costs.
18. Severability and the whole agreement
If any clause here is found unlawful or unenforceable, it is severed and the rest stays in force. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy and the Refund Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us about your use of monklearning, and they replace anything said or written before. If we do not enforce a right immediately, we do not lose it.
19. Law, disputes and changes
These terms are governed by Indian law, with courts at Bengaluru, Karnataka having jurisdiction, after we’ve genuinely tried to fix the problem through support first. If we change these terms materially, we’ll notify you in the app and by email before the change applies; continuing to use the service after that means you accept the update.
